Terms of Use

This is the agreement between you and us when you use ReadPalm. It is written in plain language on purpose, and it describes what the service actually does rather than what a template says a service might do.
Who we are
ReadPalm is run by Mantas Karalius, a sole trader established in Lithuania under individual-activity certificate No. 1546358, at Tiekėjų g. 4, Kretinga, Lithuania. Not registered for VAT. “We” and “us” on this page mean him, and notices reach us at that address or at support@readpalm.net.
What this is
ReadPalm reads a photograph of a palm and a birth chart and writes about them. It is for entertainment and reflection. It is not advice, and it does not predict what will happen to you.
What it is not
Nothing here is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and nothing here should be used to make a decision of that kind. If something in your life needs a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant, this is not one. A reading that mentions rest, pressure or money is describing a pattern in the old tradition’s vocabulary, not assessing your health or your finances.
What is written, and how
Part of every reading is chosen from text written and reviewed in advance; part is written for you by a language model at the moment you ask. Both are generated from your photograph and your answers, and neither is a statement of fact about you. Two people who answer alike may receive some of the same words.
Your photograph
Send a photograph of a hand that is yours, or one you have permission to send. Do not send photographs of other people, of children, or anything that is not a hand. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to it — in short, it is passed through to the model that reads it, and is kept on our server only if you give your email and leave before buying: for seven days at most, for up to three reminders, and never with your account.
Your side of it
- Be 16 or older.
- Do not try to break, overload or take apart the service, and do not use it through anything but the site itself.
- The words and pictures here are ours. Keep your reading, show it to anyone you like, and do not resell it or pass it off as your own product.
Your account
Paying makes an account under the email address you gave at checkout, and that is how you get back to your reading on another device: a six-digit code is sent to the address, and typing it in signs you in. The email you receive after paying also carries a sign-in link, which works for fourteen days and up to five times; after that, the code. Keep that mailbox yours. Up to ten readings are kept per account; past that, the oldest is removed to make room. The Privacy Policy says what is kept and for how long.
When it does not work
A reading depends on a model we do not run and on a photograph we cannot see in advance. Sometimes a photograph cannot be read and you are asked for another; sometimes the service is briefly unavailable. We do our best to keep it working and we cannot promise it always will.
Paying
What you buy is a subscription that starts with a shorter, cheaper first period. The exact amounts, the length of that first period and the date of the first full charge are shown on the payment screen before you pay, and they are the amounts that leave your account — no tax is added afterwards.
Payments are taken by Stripe, which keeps your card on file so the subscription can renew. It renews until you cancel, and you cancel with the Cancel subscription button in Settings, by writing to support@readpalm.net, or through the contact form. Cancelling stops the next payment; the period already paid for runs to its end and part periods are not refunded.
There is a money-back promise covering the first fourteen days, given on top of your statutory rights rather than instead of them. The billing terms set all of this out in full, including what happens to the fourteen-day right of withdrawal when you ask for your reading to be delivered immediately, and the money-back policy describes how to ask.

If these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top moves.

Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania, where we are established. Wherever you live, this choice takes nothing from you: the protections that the consumer law of your own country gives you, and does not let you sign away, still apply.
If we disagree
Write to us first. Most things are a misunderstanding or a mistake, and a person will answer. If you are a consumer and we cannot settle it between us, you can take it to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority of Lithuania (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba, Vilniaus g. 25, 01402 Vilnius, vvtat.lt), which settles disputes between consumers and sellers out of court, or to the courts.
