Billing Terms

This is a draft. It describes honestly how billing is meant to work, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer, it does not yet name a company or a country, and it does not yet state tax treatment. It must be replaced before anything is sold.
What you are buying
Access to your reading, as a subscription that starts with a trial. The trial length and both amounts — what you pay today and what you pay after — are shown on the screen where you choose a plan, above the button, before you press it. That screen is the contract; this page explains the mechanics behind it.
The trial, and what happens at the end of it
You pay the trial amount today. At the end of the trial the subscription starts automatically at the renewal amount and renews on that same cycle until you cancel. The exact renewal date is printed on the offer screen before you agree, and it is the date shown there that applies.
A trial is not free. It is a smaller first payment, and it is charged immediately.
Cancelling
[ To be completed. The offer screen currently promises cancellation "from your account, or by email". Neither route exists yet: there is no account page, and no support address is configured. Either build both and describe them here, or change that sentence on the offer screen — a cancellation route that cannot be used is the single worst thing a subscription can promise. ]
Refunds
Separately from any statutory right, there is a money-back promise covering the first fourteen days. It is described on its own page.
Your right to withdraw

This is digital content delivered immediately, so the interaction between the EU fourteen-day right of withdrawal and the consumer's request for immediate performance has to be stated exactly, and the offer screen has to collect that request explicitly rather than rely on this page. Neither is in place. ]
Tax

Who you are buying from
[ To be completed with the seller's legal name, registered address, company number, tax number, and an address for notices. ]
How you are charged
[ To be completed with the payment processor's name, what card details it stores and for how long, and where the charge appears on a statement. No processor is integrated yet. ]
