What you are buying
Access to your reading, as a subscription that starts with a trial. The trial length and both amounts — what you pay today and what you pay after — are shown on the screen where you choose a plan, above the button, before you press it. That screen is the contract; this page explains the mechanics behind it.
The trial, and what happens at the end of it
You pay the trial amount today. At the end of the trial the subscription starts automatically at the renewal amount and renews on that same cycle until you cancel. The exact renewal date is printed on the offer screen before you agree, and it is the date shown there that applies.
A trial is not free. It is a smaller first payment, and it is charged immediately.
The day before each charge — the end of the trial included — we email you the amount and the date, so no renewal arrives unannounced. The email says how to cancel, and cancelling before the date means the charge is not made.
Cancelling
Write to support@readpalm.net, or use the contact form, and say you want to cancel. One line is enough; you do not have to give a reason.
We cancel it and reply to confirm. Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not end the period you have already paid for — that runs to its end — and it does not refund a part period.
There is also a Cancel subscription button in your account, at the bottom of the Settings page. It does the same thing as the message above and does it at once: the subscription stops renewing, your access runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and you do not have to wait for anybody to read anything.
Refunds
Separately from any statutory right, there is a money-back promise covering the first fourteen days. It is described on its own page.
Your right to withdraw
Under Lithuanian consumer law, which governs this purchase, a buyer normally has fourteen days to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. Digital content is the exception, and only on one condition: that you asked for it to be delivered immediately and were told that asking costs you the right.
That is what happens here. The reading is written and delivered as soon as the payment goes through, not at the end of a fourteen-day wait. The paragraph under the button says that by continuing you agree to these Billing Terms, and this is the term it points at: pressing the button asks for the reading to be delivered immediately, and you acknowledge that once it has been delivered the statutory right of withdrawal no longer applies.
So once your reading has been written, the statutory right of withdrawal is spent. The money-back promise described on the money-back page is separate from it, is given voluntarily, and is wider than the law requires in the one respect that matters: it survives the reading being delivered.
Tax
Every price on this site is the amount that leaves your account. There is no tax added at the end and no split shown, because none is applied: the figure on the payment screen and the figure on your statement are the same figure, in US dollars.
If your card is not a dollar card, your bank converts the amount at its own rate and may add its own fee. That conversion is between you and your bank; we neither set it nor receive any part of it.
Who you are buying from

How you are charged
Payments are taken by Stripe. Your card number is typed into fields that belong to Stripe and served by Stripe; it does not pass through this site and is never stored here.
Because this is a subscription, Stripe keeps your card on file to take the renewals. That is what the paragraph under the button means when it says the renewal is charged automatically until you cancel. Stripe holds the card under its own terms and its own security certification; cancelling the subscription stops it being used again.
